Sturton by Stow Parish Council met remotely via Zoom on Thursday 21 May 2020 at 11a.m hosted by Chair Cllr Dennis Taylor.  Present:  Cllrs Mrs Gilbert, Pickering, Hellen.

  1. Apologies for absence and reasons given

Received and accepted from Cllr Mrs Christie, Mrs Banham, Mr Moore.

 

  1. To receive declarations of interests in accordance with the Localism Act 2011

Cllr Mrs Gilbert declared an interest in Item 9 as an owner of a nearby property

 

  1. To approve minutes of previous meeting

Proposed by Cllr Mrs Gilbert to accept.  Seconded by Cllr Hellen.  All agreed.

4.  Meeting opened to the public  -

      Cllr Mrs Christie entered the meeting.

5.  End of Year Accounts 19/20

      Proposed by Cllr Mrs Gilbert to accept.  Seconded by Cllr Hellen.  All agreed.

 

6.  Accounts: Internal Audit Fee £40.  Drainage rates Jubilee Wood £23.04.

    Proposed by Cllr Mrs Christie to pay.  Seconded by Cllr Mrs Gilbert.  All agreed.

 

7.  Annual Governance Statement agreed

    All agreed.

 

8.  Adoption of accounts re Annual return

    All agreed.

 

9.  Planning Application 141008-25 Saxilby Rd-outline for 1 dwelling

 Cllr Mrs Gilbert declared an interest and did not vote or take part in any discussion.  Agreed to object commenting as overdeveloped site and imposing for size of plot.

 

10. Planning Application 141028 Reserved Matters Plot 5 Fleets Rd

 Object to planning application siting design not in keeping with area.  If granted, only single storey, restriction to working hours and to be as green as possible in line with developing Neighbourhood Plan.

 

11. Planning Matters

       Refusal: 140778 Land North West of Rectory Farm, Stow Rd.

       Permission: 140375 Queensway-14 Affordable dwellings

 

12.  Other Planning Matters -

 

The Parish Council would like to formally thank the Emergency Planning Group headed by Gordon Bruce for all their work setting up the response in the village to Covid-19.  Many thanks to all the members of the group which has now stood down. Debrief to be held once meetings restart.

Agreed to write to resident on Saxilby Road re trees overhanging road.
