Sturton by Stow and Stow Neighbourhood Plan
The original Sturton by Stow and Stow Neighbourhood Plan was adopted by West Lindsey District Council on 4 July 2022. In October 2023, Sturton by Stow and Stow parish councils agreed to undertake a minor modifications review of the plan and in July 2024 submitted their reviewed plan to the council for approval.
In August 2024, West Lindsey District Council approved the Sturton by Stow and Stow Neighbourhood Plan Review July 2024 as a minor (non-material) modifications review of the original plan (see Decision Statement August 2024). The plan review succeeds the original neighbourhood plan, to form part of the West Lindsey Development Plan for the Sturton by Stow and Stow parish areas and should be given full weight in helping determine future planning applications within the plan area.
Many thanks to all those involved in the NP review and consultation process

NOTICE OF A PUBLIC FLOOD MEETING FOR STURTON BY STOW AND STOW RESIDENTS
Dear Residents,
The Parish Council have had confirmation of attendance from a representative of Anglian Water to attend a fact finding public flood meeting scheduled to take place on Tuesday 19th August
1.30-3.30pm at Sturton by Stow Village Hall.
Sturton By Stow, and Stow Parish Councils have consulted with other Lincolnshire Town and Parish Councils, many of whom have held open public meetings regarding flooding in recent months. Their experience was that meetings involving multiple agencies quickly degenerated into finger-pointing and political argument; very little in the way of practical solutions resulted.
Your Parish Councils (SbS & Stow) sought to learn from the mistakes of others, and have adopted a more pragmatic, if slower, strategy: we will try to have meetings with the various agencies one by one, in order to have discussions appropriate to their individual responsibilities, resources and attitudes.
We hope that this approach will result in more accurate acceptances of appropriate actions going forward.
We shall keep you informed of any developments.
Kind Regards
